[Edit]It's hard to pin down exactly what constitutes a band being considered "nu metal." As cases in point, artists such as Korn, Limp Bizkit, Godsmack, and Static-X all fell under the umbrella of nu metal at one point or another. So it seems to mean that it can include those who are grunge revivalists, heavy metallists, rap metallists, melodic metallists, or any number of things. And after hearing the sophomore effort from 2Cents, 2010's Dress to Kill, it quickly becomes clear that the group incorporates all of the aforementioned "nu metal possibilities" into its own style/approach. And it also makes sense why it would, after you take a gander at the bands that 2Cents have toured with — including the aforementioned Korn and Static-X. The only thing is...guess nobody told the lads in 2Cents that nu metal saw its peak a decade before Dress to Kill dropped. Regardless, you can easily match 2Cents' tunes to the appropriate category — "Now You Know" represents their grunge side and "Dressed to Kill" is based in rap-metal, while "The Hollow" and "Get What?" tread upon unmistakable headbanging terrain. Could a nu metal revival be on the horizon? If it does go down, 2Cents could come off looking like a group of Nostradamuses, and could easily be leading the charge. If not, they could very well be in danger of coming off looking like a band of Johnny-come-latelies.
