[Edit]Riding off a wave of warmly received self-released singles, ex-Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine Les Carter gave his absurdly alcoholic rock & roll band the proper full-length treatment. Singalong scuzz-punk one minute ("Aren't We All [Hero]," "Emergency Medical Hologram," "All the Way From Memphis") and sad, fractured pop the next ("Loser's Walk," "Will She Come?"), Air Odeon Disco Pub was ridiculously entertaining. In "Really Really Sorry," Carter narrates a story of rain, regret, and Wire-like guitars that really breaks your heart until he adds, almost innocently, "You're a f*cking dick and you make me sick and I'd like to put my fist through your face." Fantastic.
