[Edit]Japanese psych-rockers Acid Mothers Temple released volumes of their heavily fried freakout rock throughout the 2000s, with documents often leaning toward scrappy live recordings or rushed jam sessions. Released in 2008, Glorify Astrological Martyrdom was one of the better-produced Acid Mothers jams of its time, put to tape in an actual studio and capturing the group at a peak moment of flirtation with drone and metal. Hints of Sabbath, Hawkwind, and even the Boredoms show up on the three tracks, two of which are side-long improvisations, and the final track is the relatively shorter barnburner "Stargate of the Hell."
