Details
[Edit]An indie-rap veteran out of Keene, New Hampshire, Adeem has been involved in several crews over the years, including 1200 Hobos, Adeem&Shalem, GLUE, and The Dorian Three. He has also won two different Scribble Jams, dropped multiple solo projects, and toured relentlessly over the years. On The Volume In The Ground, he experiments with more unorthodox production, fusing elements of folk, blues, and gospel music into his tracks, while still maintaining the bump necessary for quality, neck-bending hip-hop. Lyrically he still flips the wordy, multi-layered style he's been rocking since the get go, with verses that are simultaneously complex, funny, and reflective, never succumbing to the dangerous pitfall of taking himself too seriously. His dedication to God is on display throughout, though he's not your stereotypical “Christian rapper.” Decidedly non-conformist but still catchy, it's a good listen through and through, especially for fans of the Rhymesayers vibe. Guests include Swamburger, Kaleigh Baker, and Sherwin Sleeves, while standout selections come from "Meet Death With a Handshake," "The Unlucky Seven," and "Thirty One Songs."
