[Edit]This is a compilation of a compilation: The Melhores Momentos series, which released two CDs in separate volumes, is now being released in the series 2 CDs for the Price of 1, so this is a double CD. This is the easiest available introduction for Adoniran Barbosa, the biggest proponent of the samba paulistano (samba developed in the city of São Paulo, which is very specific in comparison with its Carioca counterpart). Adoniran's biggest hits are present here: "Tiro Ao Álvaro" (sung by the great Elis Regina, with Adoniran's participation), "Iracema" (interpreted by Clara Nunes), "Trem Das Onze," "Saudosa Maloca," "O Samba Do Arnesto," and so many others total 31 tracks. Almost all interpretations are by Adoniran himself, but there is an impressive set of special guests: Clementina de Jesus, Carlinhos Vergueiro, Roberto Ribeiro, Gonzaguinha, Djavan, MPB-4, and many others.
