[Edit]The second of two CDs taken from an English concert featuring clarinetist Albert Nicholas, this set matches him with trumpeter Alan Elsdon's very able septet. The music is comprised essentially of Dixieland standards (including a heated "Royal Garden Blues," "China Boy," "I Found a New Baby" and "Rosetta") and features Nicholas in superior late-period form. Spirited performances.
