[Edit]The eighth studio long-player from the veteran extreme metal unit, the Metal Blade-issued Desideratum finds the Birmingham, England-based decibel pushers offering up another face-melting set of black metal/grindcore/industrial chemical-laden thrash that's as caustic as it is thrilling. Produced by co-founder and multi-instrumentalist Mick Kenney, the follow-up to 2012's well-received Vanitas was recorded and mixed in Orange County, California at the Black Flamingo, and features ten relentlessly macabre cuts, including "A Firm Foundation of Unyielding Despair," "Sub Specie Aeterni (Of Maggots and Humanity)," and "Acheronta Movebimus."
