Details
[Edit]This was the first solo album that Calamaro released after the split of Los Rodriguez. It was also his best-selling record and the one that helped to get him at the top of the local musical scene, along with other soloists like Charly García, Fito Paez and Luis Alberto Spinetta. Pumped by major hits like "Flaca," "Loco," and "Me Arde," the album sold 300,000 copies in Argentina alone. The album cover could be read as a tribute to Bob Dylan, a figure greatly and explicitly adored by Calamaro. The ballads dominate the album, but there is also a bit of rock & roll, reggae, and soul. "Elvis está vivo" stands as the best song on an uneven but enjoyable album that includes many of his most popular songs. ~ Iván Adaime, Rovi
