[Edit]It's not surprising that this disc should be filled with traditional Irish ballads, save for three original songs. Andy M. Stewart's pleasant tenor and rich brogue are a perfect setting for the bittersweet songs of that land. Indeed, it is on the ballads that Stewart excels. Unfortunately, he sounds uncomfortable with the more uptempo numbers, and that makes for an uneven listening experience.
