Details
[Edit]Antiseen's reissue, Drastic/Royalty, puts together the very first two 7" singles the semi-legendary hillbilly-core band ever unleashed upon an unsuspecting planet: 1985's Drastic EP, which saw the band record as a three-piece, and Royalty EP, which appeared the following year. The 14 songs elapse in 22 very short minutes, showing the band as a rudimentary garage outfit whose southern devotion is somewhat held at bay by weak production values you'd have to expect on such relics no matter the remastering, bleating out what Antiseen called "destructo rock" at the time, a scum-punk sound that only hinted at future greatness. It still holds up years later, as a nostalgic statement if nothing else. ~ Brian O'Neill, Rovi
