Details
[Edit]After his last album, Askari X was expected to dig deep and come up with a big effort after a four-year layoff. So, in 2000 he released this album, aptly named The Return of Rickey Murdock. A surprisingly more violent and angered release, the songs here often fall into an almost gangster mentality, while still trying to hold onto the conscious messages he's known for. Perhaps it's the rappers he's brought in to work with him on a few of the songs, but overall it's much more aggressive in nature. There are still plenty of Muslim messages when Askari talks between tracks, something that may or may not appeal to you.
