[Edit]A cult following ate this record's theme song for breakfast each morning during the television watcher's favorite soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Endearing and heartfelt, the theme to the show is also presented here by way of the writer's genuine source of inspiration, the charming and graceful Nadia, a champion Olympic gymnast in 1976. The record's artwork, by David B. McMacken, and production, done by several composer/arrangers, fits the time period to a T. "Nadia's Theme" is serene, beautiful, and ethereal, much like a dreamscape of love and poetry, the listener can travel to and hide for refuge from the chaos and stress of the world. "Bless the Beasts and Children" is dramatic and powerful, setting the hearts emotional palette ablaze and filling one's soul with gripping dynamic force. The back side of the record also can control the listener, stirring their hearts with its sense of texture and romantic quality. An uplifting and simple tune written as "Rainbow City" sends the listener soaring high in a blue-maroon sky towards one's promise of a fulfilling day, making it to the rainbow, only to catch a glimpse of the other side and it's bounty until the dream is snatched away. Truly a pleasure to listen to, to relax to, and regroup for a new day ahead. These magical, majestic scores written and arranged by many of the great artists of the '70s enlighten and enliven the mind and soul with grace. ~ Shawn M. Haney, Rovi
