This generous collection features Bikini Kill’s self-titled 1992 EP, their songs from the 1993 split LP Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah with Huggy Bear, and the seven bonus tracks that appeared on the 2014 reissue. This is first-rate punk rock: visceral (Ian MacKaye produced the first six tracks) and with an unflinching point of view from leader Kathleen Hanna, who spearheaded the Riot Grrrl movement that influenced hundreds of bands from the ‘90s onward. “Suck My Left One” is frightening, while “Rebel Girl” is as close to an anthem as a group of freethinkers could accept.
