[Edit]This likeable album by Bill Wolfer doesn't have a whole lot to say, but it says it very nicely. Wolfer is a technically adept fusion pianist with a gift for upbeat instrumental pieces, all of which are pleasant though not wildly innovative. He does play all the instruments here, yet it still often sounds remarkably like talented musicians with different personalities working together — a pretty neat feat. "Sometime During Eternity" is an interesting duet for synthesized bass and Korg keyboard, and "Thinking About Mingus" evokes the master while not sounding exactly like anything he ever did, and it's a nice homage. On later albums, Wolfer would explore Latin jazz, but here he sounds very comfortable exploring a more mainstream area.
