Details
[Edit]Billy Swan, best known for his 1974 hit “I Can Help,” a bouncy bit of neo-swamp rockabilly, was a roots rocker a decade before the term really established itself, and if he never really equaled the success of that 1974 hit again, his recorded legacy is remarkably consistent, particularly during his time with Monument Records in the early '70s. This set collects his key sides from Monument during his stay there, including “I Can Help,” his haunting, slowed-down version of “Don’t Be Cruel,” and his follow-up to “I Can Help,” 1975’s "Everything's the Same (Ain't Nothing Changed).”
