Details
[Edit]If you can get past the pretentious vocal loop in the first track ("We are superior/you are inferior"), Disparation has several beautiful compositions to offer. The first full-length release from Biowire (as well as Electronic Watusi Boogaloo) finds electronic wizard Jason Crosse building pleasurable ambiance over drum'n'bass and trip-hop beats. The outcome is often quite dazzling, in particular the soothing "Layers of Uncalm," which features high-pitched squeaking that resembles crying dolphins. Crosse throws in some studio tricks, such as vinyl hiss, tape rewind, and robotic voices, which helps Disparation live up to its title.
