[Edit]Produced by José Alvarez-Brill (Wolfsheim), Tränenherz is slightly more pop-oriented than Blutengel's previous albums, but it still offers the stylized, techno-influenced electro-pop and piano-based ballads that made the band popular in darkwave and gothic circles. While the regular CD offers 13 tracks (plus an intro and an outro track), the two-CD version adds a second disc with an additional 11 songs that are more club-oriented than the main album. There is also a limited edition that adds a third CD with instrumental tracks as well as a 100-page photo book.
