Details
[Edit]This RAW collection features highlights from the 139-track The Basement Tapes Complete. After Bob Dylan and The Band made these informal recordings from March 1967 to as late as 1968, these sessions (recorded on 7-inch reel-to-reel tapes, primarily in the basement of a house called Big Pink in West Saugerties, N.Y.) were the subject of rumors, unofficially released as lo-fi bootlegs, and even touched up and brought to market in 1975. In 2014, it was decided to locate and release all the tracks in their original states. In the process, even more recordings were discovered. This “missing link” in the careers of Bob Dylan and The Band career deserves every superlative hurled its way.
