[Edit]This is a collection meant for those who purchased the Legend collection before there was a “Deluxe” version with bonus cuts. Here is the bonus portion of the collection that features remixes from the ‘80s, including dub versions of Marley classics. Infamous songs such as “One Love / People Get Ready,” here in an extended Julian Mendelsohn version and as a Godwin Logie remix, “No Woman, No Cry,” here with an Eric “E.T.” Thorngren remix and “Jamming” also remixed by Thorngren and by Paul “Groucho” Smykle, make this a desirable collection for those who have worn out the familiar versions of the tunes. Marley turned reggae into a mainstream powerhouse and it’s impossible to imagine the culture without his voice. For anyone new to his music, the initial Legend collection is an obvious starting point with albums such as Catch a Fire, Burnin’, Natty Dread and Exodus being excellent places to begin as well.Rarities is a fine way to rehear the tunes and displays the versatility of reggae’s musical foundation.
