Swing is the main thing on this outing by Bob Wilber from 1996. Doubling on soprano and clarinet, Wilber joins forces with the excellent Finnish tenorman and clarinetist Antti Sarpila, pianist Mark Shane, bassist Phil Flanigan and drummer Joe Ascione on a variety of swing standards, three originals, and a mildly boppish "Billie's Bounce." Wilber's wife Pug Horton contributes a few vocals. The music is quite enjoyable, and the musicians all sound inspired by each other's presence. Among the more memorable tunes are "Smiles," "I Want to Be Happy," "The Song Is You" and "Doggin' Around."
