[Edit]Ricardo Ray's first Christmas season recording is the forerunner to his excellent Felices Pascuas LP. Although they were still a band in their embryonic stage, Ray was willing to experiment with the island's national rhythms, like seis chorreao and aguinaldo (strangely enough, this music is mainly used as seasonal Christmas fodder). There are good moments, such as "Bella Es la Navidad," "Mosaico a lo Richie," and "Colorín Colorado." This is vintage Ray. ~ José A. Estévez, Jr., Rovi
