Boyz II Men's rich harmonies shine on their second album, and so do their new jack swing grooves. The latter add extra oomph to "All Around the World," with its G-funk synth melody, and the slinky "Jezebel"; The Beatles' "Yesterday" becomes a spine-tingling a cappella. The Philadelphia group particularly shine on ballads: The bedroom-eyed "I'll Make Love to You" and the fragile "On Bended Knee" operate on opposite ends of the seduction spectrum, but their emotional, pitch-perfect performances tug at the heartstrings with equal power.
