[Edit]Buckcherry’s third album, from 2006, finds the band hurtling through rock ’n’ roll’s space-time continuum, yanking sonics from the past and then adding their own guttural suckerpunches. There’s ’60s Yardbirds-y rock (“Next 2 You”), ’70s punk (“So Far”), '70s arena rock (“Out of Line”), ’80s metal (“Broken Glass”), and ’90s pop (“Carousel,” “Everything”). Elsewhere, singer Joshua’s Todd’s string-stroked remorse toward a lover is displayed on “Sorry” and then completely eviscerated on the next tune (“Crazy Bitch”). Sure, Buckcherry may have a sensitive side, but it’s only temporary. You can’t underestimate the fist-jacking potency of this band’s work, particularly here.
