Details
[Edit]Important for being the entry in the Mega Man series that introduced the character Bass, a robot designed to imitate the powers of the titular hero, Mega Man 7 was the first (and only) proper Mega Man game to be released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Because of the system's more robust sound chip, the game's soundtrack, delivered here on Mega Man Soundtrack, Vol. 7, has a greater sonic depth than some of the series' previous entries. While those early chiptunes soundtracks were exceptional for both their knotty compositions as well as pushing the original NES to its technical limits, the songs here paint a picture of the maximalist Japanese pop numbers that would score the series as it moved into the future, making this a turning point in the series' sonic tapestry.
