[Edit]From metal to disco to indie rock to pop, Sweden produces a surprising amount of great music for such a small country. Now add EDM to that list, as Swedish acts Avicii, Eric Prydz, and Swedish House Mafia are among the genre's biggest names. The duo of Alexander Björklund and Sebastian Furrer, better known as Cazzette, are the latest in this notable line. Sharing a manager with Avicii, the pair had played some of EDM's biggest stages in Ibiza and Vegas before releasing their debut, Eject. The dancefloor killer "Beam Me Up" is here in both its original and edited versions, buttressed by 12 other electrifying tracks. The melodic sawtooth synths and ferocious dubstep stabs of "Run for Cover" are seemingly a cheeky answer to Deadmau5's "Raise Your Weapon," while "Endorphine" lives up to its name, ratcheting up the intensity with a refracting synth arpeggio. Mixing trance, techno, house, and dubstep with aplomb, Eject establishes Cazzette as an EDM heavyweight worthy of their lineage.
