Details
[Edit]Two of the underground's most charismatic emcee/producers, J-Zone (from Queens) and Celph Titled (from Tampa) have each been putting out quality independent records since the late '90s. Celph has worked extensively with crews like Demigodz and Army of the Pharaohs (plus the Linkin Park spinoff Fort Minor), while J has a gang of comedic fan favorites under his belt, including A Bottle of Whup-Ass, Pimps Don't Pay Taxes, and Music for Tu Madre. On this collaborative concept album, they team for a collection of proudly over-the-top player jams about getting their drink on ("Boss Hog Malt Liquor"), fat chicks ("The Weight Debate"), and the importance of ladies who can cook ("B****, That Ain't Luv"). Appropriately freaky beats accompany their overtly bugged-out wordplay, with plenty of rubbery bass lines, funk-heavy keys, spazzy drums, and weird sound effects. With raw pimp-game tales and more punchlines than an old-school joke book, this is misogynistic comedy rap at its finest.
