[Edit]Children's composer/musician Cheryl Melody (Songs That Make the Heart Feel Good!) brings her nurturing vibes and light theatrical vocal stylings to songs encouraging surrender, trust, peace, and love. Melody's sparkling piano accompaniment offers just enough support — like columns of light — on which to hang the angelic melodies. Her voice is either engagingly crystal clear or as penetrating as a mother's whisper; cherubically enchanting responses harmonize around her. It's uplifting and twee, but Melody's deft phrasing keeps the music from seeping into sentimentality. Melody has garnered much acclaim for the healing power of her music. The second half of the album is a guided meditation for healing, with script by Dyan Garris. Melody wrote the accompaniment for the healing meditation first and was later inspired to write the seven additional songs.
