Details
[Edit]Country Swingin' Slide Guitar Pickin': 24 Great Dobro is a nice collection of country instrumentals, performed by Clarence "Hound Dog" Jackson and his band. It's pretty stripped down: dobro, steel guitar, rhythm guitar, fiddle, and bass with occasional harmonica (no drums). They never get close to the kind of pyrotechnics that Speedy West and Jimmy Bryant could display on their albums, but they do a darn good job. There's a certain similarity in sound all throughout the album, but the tunes are fairly short and never overstay their welcome. Not essential, but there aren't tons of instrumental country albums out there.
