Details
[Edit]In 2011, the Numero Group got in touch with Codeine and pitched the idea of reissuing the band's three records, complete with bonus tracks and the label's usual archival care. The band agreed and the results were beautifully packaged, wonderful-sounding remasters of each release (1991's Frigid Stars LP, 1992's Barely Real, and 1994's The White Birch) complete with enough bonus tracks to double the running length. The albums were combined together for the limited-edition box set When I See the Sun, which included a large foldout poster but no extra music. No matter whether the albums are bought separately or in the box set, they are vital documents of early-'90s indie rock from a band that pioneered intensely slow and achingly sad music.
