[Edit]Seeing that Colourbox had a short-lived career and one major album, a greatest hits effort — Best of Colourbox: 1982-1987 — is a bit questionable. One can listen to their 1985 self-titled debut and enjoy their sassy dance tracks just the same, but this collection does include some off-the-wall selections. Songs such as the sultry instrumental "Sleepwalker" and the campy "Just Give 'Em Whiskey" are featured, but such dancehall classics like "Punch" and "Moon Is Blue" are lost. Instead, cuts like "The Official Colourbox World Cup Theme" and M/A/R/R/S' "Pump up the Volume" are added. This compilation is decent, but surely not bold enough to capture Colourbox's animated cult success.
