Details
[Edit]Now almost forgotten, the Coon-Sanders Original Nighthawk Orchestra was one of the most popular dance bands of its day. This collection, pieced together from rare 78s and nicely remastered, is a gem of light swing and Dixieland jazz. Featuring fine soloists and a rather silly nature, this music is pure fun, reminiscent of Roy Shield's Little Rascals scores. The liner notes offer some nice background on the band, and a bit of historical perspective as well.
