On this debut record, Crumbacher was clearly attempting to fill the Euro-synth-pop niche in the Christian Contemporary Music industry. The album shows the band decked out in black leather, standing over an oversized keyboard, like an OMD for the Youth Ministry set. Lead singer Stephen Crumbacher (his real name is Crumbaker) has placed an umlaut over the "a" in "Crumbacher," either as a pronunciation guide or as an attempt at Europop authenticity. His vocals mimic the bouncy affectation of Men Without Hats, and producer O-Joe Taylor's arrangements imitate the minimalist synthesizings of the Human League. The highlight is the unintentionally campy cover of the hymn "Sweet By and By."
