Details
[Edit]Cynthia Sayer is a fine banjo soloist with a nice singing voice. On this CD she utilizes some of the best traditional musicians around in different combinations: trumpeters Peter Ecklund and Jon-Erik Kellso (who alternate), clarinetist Kenny Davern, Scott Robinson on soprano, tenor, baritone and alto clarinet, trombonists Randy Reinhart and Tom Arlin, pianist Keith Ingham, bassist Greg Cohen and drummer Arnie Kinsella. The music is enjoyable, if a bit predictable, as the sidemen seem careful not to overshadow Sayer. The highlights include "Vo-Do-Do-De-O Blues," "The Glory of Love," "With Plenty of Money and You" and "Alligator Crawl." Enjoyable music.
