[Edit]Sullivan's band in its various manifestations was a Boston Irish institution in the '20s and early '30s. The recordings collected here feature several of the finest first and second-generation Irish-American musicians. The style is a very infectious early ceilidh band style, with piano-backed fiddle, bagpipes, whistle, accordion and — occasionally voice. ~ John Storm Roberts, Original Music, Rovi
