This is not rock, shag, or "throw down" rap. It is well-crafted, silky smooth, deliciously rainy day romantic, daydreamy, heartfelt, ineffable keyboards with perfection. It is far, far from bland new age ambling. Bach has seamlessly meshed 12 songs into a mood of inspiration, healing, and the musician's melancholy world of introspective visions. It is solo piano, then a full augmentation of synths, and then there's sensuous sax, a mosaic of percussion, fretless bass, wailing atmospherics, and lazy stream guitar, with ethnic flute. Best of all, these 12 sonic paintings have David Bach interwoven everywhere. Sensitive, slick, yet oh so warm, fleeting, gliding, lilting from indigo room to late afternoon sunroom, a musical journey of gentle determination and the joy of just being alive. A must for those who mellow out with a slightly edged groove, over a fine wine. This release is passion and grace. The musicians contributing are: David Bach (piano-keyboards-percussion-electronics), Stan Whitaker (guitars), Ju Ju House (drums), Bob Read (saxophones), Jim Charlsen (bass), Mark Easley (bass), Stanford Lessans (Native American flutes), Andy Shriver (guitars), Wes Crawford (percussion), and Andy Hamburger (percussion). ~ John W.
