[Edit]There is a way to add sonority to Lisa Franco's Celtic harp. As one-half of Celestial Winds, she plays the electric Celtic harp on Oceans of Love. David Young is the other half. But this CD is about Franco. Her harp has a different depth and clarity with electric pick-ups. There are no synthesizers on this disc, but there are huge atmospheres and gentle — yet subtle — drones. Franco also plays the mandolin and dulcimers. Steve Reid is a guest performer on exotic percussion, and Tony Franklin is a guest bassist. This gentle ambience will appeal to fans of Jalan Jalan, Patricia Spero, Tingstad & Rumbel, and Zero Ohms.
