Dead Serious' volatile brand of hardcore punk explodes with bitterness toward the very scene the band was born into. On It's What You Can't See, Dead Serious unleashes hatred at seemingly everyone within striking distance. Though one may think this would not be an entertaining album to listen to, it surely is, as the band performs this hardcore punk with exceptional prowess. Even the cover of Youth of Today's "Flame Still Burns" blazes with conviction and dedication, almost daring the listener to challenge the harsh words. It's What You Can't See is a roller coaster ride through disenchanted hardcore ideals from a group heavily immersed in them, and rings true on many accounts as it paints the decaying scene in black. ~ Jason D.
