Formaldehyde Injection

Many different adjectives could be used to describe the blend of punk, hard rock, and 1960s rock & roll that the Demonics unveiled on their debut album, Formaldehyde Injection — rowdy, infectious, irreverent, entertaining, humorous, and raw are some of the ones that immediately come to mind. But if you had to limit your description of this CD to only one word that word would be "fun." From start to finish Formaldehyde Injection is an exercise in wild, reckless, over-the-top fun. The Northern California band never takes itself too seriously — when the Demonics tear into rockin' tracks, like "Jesus Chrysler Super Stock," "Hellhound for Booty," and "Life of Crime," you feel like you have been transported to a party for bikers or drag racers. In fact, motorcycle riding and drag racing are an obsession with the Demonics, who have accurately described their rock & roll as "dragpunk." Formaldehyde Injection isn't quite as strong as the Demonics' second album, Demons on Wheels, but it's a solid, appealing effort that never fails to entertain.
