[Edit]Excellent Dimensión Latina recording features former vocalist Andy Montañez and guest singer Rey Ruiz in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Venezuela's longest-lasting and most popular salsa band. Of course, it is a far cry from the band's raunchier two-trombone lineup; years of performance have made this institution a musically solid one. Bandleader Manuel Guerra wears many hats in this production (arranger, producer, engineer...and composed the whole album repertoire) and excels in every way, with full command of the tropical genres. Among the most remarkable tunes are "Por Ti lloraré," "Ahora Te Das Cuentas," "Me Arrepiento," and "El Rey de Los Tambores" (all performed by the always-excellent Montañez).
