Details
[Edit]It's not often you hear the words "storytelling" and "dance album" in the same breath. Yet with Dirty South's Speed of Life, that's exactly what you get. The Serbian-Australian DJ combines elements of electronica and progressive house to build a complete package that exceeds the sum of its parts. "Gods" is a well-chosen intro track, building momentum slowly before adding soothing vocals from Ruben Haze, an artist previously featured on Dirty South and Alesso's release "Years." Fans of Dirty South's progressive, big-room productions will be drawn to “Until the End” and “Your Heart,” featuring vocals from Joe Gil. Electronic music purists, however, will be pleased with the gritty synth loops on "Super Sounds" and "Reset." The title track combines sounds found throughout the rest of the album, reminding you of the journey you've just completed. With this kind of vision and production ability, Dirty South’s future is bright.
