[Edit]A masterful inside/outside pianist whose percussive solos often made his music sound more accessible than one would expect (considering the fact that he often played atonally), Don Pullen is heard on two extensive side-long explorations on this LP: "Richard's Tune" and "Dialogue Between Malcolm and Betty." Pullen is assisted by electric bassist Jeff Berlin, drummer Steve Jordan, and on the latter piece, both Raphael Cruz and Sammy Figueroa on percussion.
