The Best of Marie Osmond is a good album to add to the country music shelf for both longtime fans and newer ones. This recording gives you some — but not all — of her most popular songs together in one collection, including hits like "There's No Stopping Your Heart," "Meet Me in Montana," "Read My Lips," and "Think With Your Heart." Take note that the song "Paper Roses" on this release isn't the original one she did in her early teens in 1973, but a newer version recorded in 1990 just for this album. The only complaint to make about this offering is that it seems a little inadequate for an artist who has been around so long and had so many hits; one would think a few more songs could — and should — have been tossed into this Marie Osmond collection of hits, but this is a good start. [Curb reissued the Best of Marie Osmond in 2008 as Dancing With The Best Of Marie Osmond in order to capitalize on her appearance on ABC's popular reality show, Dancing with the Stars. This new version featured a different track order and replaced "I'll Be Faithful to You" with "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy."]. ~ James Christopher Monger
