Details
[Edit]The former leader of the influential English indie group Orange Juice, Edwyn Collins lost control of his life in the '00s due to multiple strokes and infections that left him starting from scratch to re-learn how to talk and remember. That story is told in the film The Possibilities Are Endless, for which this set is the soundtrack. Here, instrumental work (“Leviathan,” “One Note Wonder Pt. 1 & 2,” “Closing Time at the Punk Rock Hotel”), previously released tracks both pre-stroke (“Home Again”) and post-stroke (“Down the Line”), and new recordings (including a new stab at the 1987 track “Don’t Shilly Shally”) make for a lasting impression.
