[Edit]It can be said that Élio Camalle is more of a lyricist than a composer. His music, with evident jovem guarda influences both in harmony and melody, has nothing new, other than the firm decision to avoid sounding "contemporary," even if employing pop styles consisting of ballads and an occasional funk exposed through clean, simple arrangements. His music goes into his own mind, providing introspection and contemplation. The lyrics feature social criticism, like in "Cria," or existential reflections, like in "Cabeça."
