[Edit]Information Changer comes off, for the most part, as a more electronic take on the floating, ethereal sound of Slowdive's brilliant swan song, Pygmalion — the same swells and wisps of heavily reverbed guitar make up most of the record's dynamics, but underneath these run tiny, high-frequency electronic beats and analog synth drones. When the album's level of energy picks up, adding vocals and turning a few degrees toward straight-ahead pop, the overall effect is almost identical to that of Seely — it's a sound which might have been on its last legs as of 1997, but Information Changer doles it out competently enough to be a great listen.
