[Edit]Fresh from their 2013 debut on Simon Cowell's Syco Music label, X-Factor alums Emblem3 deliver eight more tunes in their chosen hybrid of reggae, rap, and slick boy band pop with 2014's Songs from the Couch, Vol.1 EP. Enjoying their newfound success, the young trio have relocated from their native Washington State down to the sunnier climes of Southern California, where more hitmaking producers live and where they can further marinate in the mellow Jack Johnson-esque surf pop vibes that influence songs like "Reason" and the breezy, ukulele-led "Indigo." On the flipside, slightly harder-edged party anthems like "Sunset Boulevard" and "Tequila Sunrise" show the boys embracing the improved nightlife of their new habitat.
