[Edit]Although three quarters of the original members were from Milwaukee, 1960s soul, R&B, and doo wop quartet the Esquires really made their mark on the Chicago soul scene, and the group is almost criminally under-known these days, save for their 1967 hit "Get on Up." There was a lot more to this fine vocal group than just that hit, though, as this wonderful collection shows, gathering the Esquires' key singles and adding essential tracks from their album Get on Up to make a fine introduction to their catalog.
