[Edit]Document's Complete Recorded Works, Vol. 1 (1922-1923) reissues the first 23 sides of Eva Taylor's solo career. Though there aren't as many classic performances as on other volumes, the disc does include tracks with several important sidemen: clarinet player Sidney Bechet, pianist Clarence Williams, and cornet player Johnny Dunn. That's enough to make it an important acquisition for collectors and serious blues or jazz fans, though casual listeners won't find as much of interest.
