[Edit]Long after the glory years of the New Seekers in Britain, Eve Graham, the lead singer for the group, returned with a solo album. The album is a mix of old New Seekers pieces (including the classic "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing") and Scottish works new and old. Graham still has a nice sound to her voice, more mature and trained than it seemed in the early years. This works both for and against the overall impression here, in truth, where the old Coca-Cola jingle could benefit from the naïvety of her youth to go with the flower-child sentiment. On the Scottish marches/hymns though, the more mature vocals serve the resulting song well. The album on large seems a little too strained, a little too forced. For fans specifically of Graham, it should be a welcome addition. For general nostalgia-philes, digging up the old New Seekers albums is a better bet. As a bonus, a dual PAL/NTSC DVD of the pieces is included, with Scottish scenery to boot.
