Puerto Rico's Farruko demonstrates why he may be the force to deal with in reggaeton for years to come. Only 23 years old, he is already a seasoned music industry veteran who made his first recordings at the age of 16. Farruko Presenta Los Menores builds on the more adventurous aspects of 2012's Latin Grammy-nominated TMPR: The Most Powerful Rookie, but goes even deeper into collaborations, adding elements of electro, neo soul, and funk to his already impressive sonic arsenal. Some of the most notable collaborative tracks here include "Bebe Conmigo" with Jesse Balvin, which is a narrative continuation of their hit "6AM," and "No Soy," with Nicky Jam that uses the same beat as their hit "Yo No Soy Tu Marido" with different words. Other highlights include the single "Menor," with D. Ozi, "Interesada" featuring Luigi 21+, and "Passion Whine" with Sean Paul. Throughout its 15 cuts, Farruko pushes the boundaries of contemporary reggaeton further afield toward cumbia, Latin pop, and deep hip-hop while remaining faithful to its heart.
